Each park was represented by an animal, When families visited multiple parks and received a sticker at each, their windshields displayed pictures of many different animals and the term "zoo windshield" was coined.
As you can see, after visiting several parks, the stickers became a safety hazard! In 1923 the stickers were reduced from the 5 inch ones you see above down two 4 inches. However, they were so popular that their sized was again reduced the next year in 1924 and they went down to 3 inches. In 1930 they were reduced a final time to 2.5 inches.
